Genrefinity Release Delay

Due to an issue with the proof, there will be a minor delay in the release of the Genrefinity: The Complete Series DVD. For those that have pre-ordered your copies will be shipped before the actual release date. You should get your copies in the first week of October.

Clips Are Up

The video clips are back up, all in HD. We also added two new ones: the opening scene for Dead in the Water and the extended version of The Quiet Darkness. The latter hasn’t been seen since its initial festival run, and adds approx. 5 min.

Clips Down

We’ve taken several videos down temporarily. These include the preview and video clip from Dead in the Water, The Quiet Darkness and Traps. The reason for this is because we’re in the process of getting HD versions up, something that will happen next week. We will also be posting a second version of The Quiet Darkness, an extended version that was shown at festivals and is nearly 5 minutes longer.

New Dead in the Water Review!

Five years since its release, Dead in the Water still gets the occasional review. Here is the latest one courtesy of Hayes Hudson’s House of Horror.

Genrefinity: Episode 4 Released!

The fourth and final episode of Genrefinity: The Series has been posted. While the series was supposed to be seven episodes, we unfortunately ran out of time to complete the episodes before one of the actors moved away. But fear not, because the series does conclude and nothing is left unresolved. We are now putting together a pretty nice DVD package including outtakes, alternate takes, behind the scenes footage, commentary tracks and more. So stay tuned for that!

As always, you can view the final episode (Happy Ending Bits) on FunnyorDie.com, or by visiting the Web Series page here.

Genrefinity is Back!

Hard to believe it’s been nearly a year since we last shot Genrefinity. We last got together in March of 2011, but personal life and other commitments prevented us from continuing the series. But now we have a deadline: Adam will be leaving Chicago in May, so if we’re going to finish up the first season it has to be by then.

On Sunday we shot Episode 4 (Happy Middle Bits). If all goes well we should have it up by the end of February. We also plan on shooting the remaining three episodes in March and April. We are looking forward to bringing you the final installments of the first season!

As the Year Winds Down...

It has been a long year with not much to show for it. That’s what happens when production takes a backseat to your personal life. But rest assured we will continue (and finish) Genrefinity: The Series in 2011. We are also refocusing our efforts on getting the new feature film made. So 2011 may be a very busy year for us.

Genrefinity: The Series Casting Announcements

Two weeks ago we held auditions for the lead roles for Genrefinity: The Series. We had a great turnout with some very talented and eager actors. Obviously we could only go with two and the two that got the parts are Mat Labotka and Adam El-Sharkawi. Our first table read/rehearsal is set for August 15, and then the shooting of the first episode will commence on August 30. The remaining six episodes will be shot through December or January pending everyone’s schedules.

After two years Dead in the Water was finally released in Japan.

Project Updates

Due to the economic downturn it’s taking longer than expected to raise funding for The End Has Gone. Because of this we’ve postponed production until 2010 when we hope to have the project fully funded.

Genrefinity: The Series is moving along nicely. The first five episodes have been written, and we will be holding auditions towards the end of July. The first episode is slated to be shot in early August. To learn more about Genrefinity: The Series visit Genrefinity.tv.

Brad Sucks Releases Out of It

Brad Sucks is a “one man band” (self described) that was kind enough to let us use a track from his debut album in Dead in the Water. It’s been about two years and he released his followup entitled “Out of It”. It’s definitely worth a listen and, what is standard for Brad, you can download the album absolutely free from his website at www.bradsucks.net. If you like it please throw the man some of your hard earned cash. It’s $10 if you buy the CD or MP3’s directly from him or $9.90 on iTunes.

New Design

Welcome to RPM Films re-designed site. We’ve simplified the layout as well as updated all our video files to Flash format for greater compatibility. If you have any comments or suggestions feel free to drop us a line. We hope you enjoy the new site!
